Pola Dwurnik – GIRL ON CANVAS

GIRL ON CANVAS is an artbook project by Pola Dwurnik about painting and its reception. It will show a new life of Dwurnik’s paintings, one completely uncontrolled by the artist life born in minds and hearts of over 30 various personalities, who wrote texts for the publication. The book will be both openly personal and bravely intimate. Subversive, rascally and girlish. A subtle riot.
Among the authors are: Prof Maria Poprzęcka, art historian, Emilie Buri, art historian and linguist, Piotr (Peter) Lachmann, poet, essayist and theatre director, Olga Tokarczuk, writer, Michał Kozłowski, philosopher and academic lecturer, Andreas Blättler, art historian working in Schaulager in Basel, Konstanty F. Szydłowski, philosopher, Romanist and art historian, Oskar Zięta, designer, creator of FiDU technology, Krzysztof Visconti, Berlin journalist and filmmaker, Maria Anna Potocka, director of MOCAK Museum of Modern Art in Kraków and many more.
